Rooster fest info

Rooster Fest was an idea sparked by the Red Dirt Roosters and the Silver Spur Resort of Canton, TX as a way to showcase the premier talent of East Texas in the wake of the recent pandemic as well as join together as a community and give a little back as well. This festival will be unlike anything East Texas has seen with a huge lineup of East Texas musicians, wide range of activities and fun for the whole family to enjoy! Kids 10 and under get in free!

There will be a BBQ competition to be judged on Saturday afternoon, all team submissions should be directed to Jeff Durham at the Silver Spur Resort. We certainly look forward to seeing all of the different competitors from all over the state to make this one epic BBQ hoedown to remember! For more information got to the IBCA website at :

We mentioned giving back as well... Here in the Rooster Family, we have HUGE hearts. We have to, because our littlest rooster Logan, who is the son of Red Dirt Roosters banjo player Jordan, was only born with half a heart. So we want to give back to an organization that has made tremendous efforts into the research of the different congenital heart diseases that effect so many children. Not only are we donating 10% of the festival proceeds to the Children's Heart Foundation, we are also holding a 5k heart walk/run the morning of August 7th at 10am with 100% of the proceeds of the race going to the Children's Heart Foundation and medals and prizes for the winners of each respective category of entry. Registration for the 5k race will begin June 1st.
